VILLAGE OF PAVELSKO:
1. Cheleveshtnitsata Cave:
Radyuva Mountain, at the foot of which is located the village of Pavelsko, has 45 caves and the Cheleveshtnitsata Cave is the biggest one. It is located on the territory of the village of Pavelsko. In the year of 1966 it was visited by the Sixth International Expedition with the participation of the Russian experts Igor Efremovich and Victor Dublyanski. The expedition found out that a sheer tunnel (shaft) begins from the opening of the cave. This tunnel is 33 meters in length and reaches the underground hall that is 85 meters in length and 40 meters in width. Huge, sinter barriers of 1 meter in height and up to 50 centimeters in width set their beginning immediately, after the cone of earth and stones, under the cave opening. One part of its flashing ethereal walls is dry and covered with millets like pearls, and another part is covered with crystal water. The experts think that there was a lake in it once of 12 meters in depth, which later dried up. Some of the cave formations resemble a cave forest, and there is a beautiful colonnade above the dried up lake. The cave vault, together with the millions of fine white stalactite s hanging from it, is supported by stalactones, resembling queer snow supports. Water drops constantly fall from its ceiling and fly off to the cave floor. In the middle of the cave hall, in the middle of a huge bowl, washed away by the falling drops, can be seen the most beautiful and impressive cave pearl, ever found in a Bulgarian cave and known as the miracle of Nature and the pearl of all pearls. In 1966 Petar Tranteev called it the king of all cave pearls.
It is assumed that the name of the cave comes from the presence of human bones in it. There is a widespread legend among the local population. This legend says that a cruel Turkish man was thrown in the Chelevishtnitsa Cave, while another version of this same legend says that a local wealthy man was thrown in the cave. A human skeleton was indeed found during the research of the speleologists of Chepelare.
The Chelevishtnitsa Cave in the district of Pavelsko was later explored by the speleologists of Chepelare, as the teacher from Pavelsko Atanas G. Semerdzhiev also entered the cave during this first entering. During our meeting with Georgi Raychev in February 2003, who is the head of the cave club in Chepelare, it was established that the speleologists found out during their last visit to the cave that the cave pearl has been stolen. Raychev and the other speleologists intend to change the missing original pearl in the Chelevishtnitsa Cave with a copy of it.

In 1965 this natural rock phenomenon was registered in the encyclopedia as a natural landmark. There is a natural waterfall over a huge rock niche with a height of 30 meters of the water fall, which makes the whole locality impressive. It is connected with the stone canyon in the locality of Koylovo Dere (Koylovo Ravine). It has been declared a natural phenomenon. There is a legend that the residents of the near village of Koylovo were thrown alive from the edge of the precipice because they refused to adopt Islam. The name of the locality comes from the story that the foot of the rock was covered with bones.

This is an eroded slope to the south with natural rock (cave) formations, covered with calcites. These interesting rock niches are declared a natural phenomenon.
VILLAGE OF ZABARDO:
Chelevishtnitsa Cave:
The cave is located to the south-west of the village of Zabardo, in the locality of Aidarski Kamak (Aidarski Stone) (in the higher parts of the stone). The precipice of the cave is 36 meters in depth. A gigantic cone begins from its bottom and is composed, underneath, of thick clay and soil bar. There are thousands of stones accumulated on it that are supported by huge overhanging blocks in some places. There are no forms in the precipice.
Tyovnata Dupka (Tyovnata Hole) Cave:
According to a legend of the residents of the village of Zabardo many people who did not want to adopt Islam during the mass Islamization died in this cave.
Slivova Dupka (Plum Hole) Cave:
During the 60s of XX century, Shaban Slivov and other hunters from the village found a hole and a spacious cave by accident while trying to catch a marten in the locality under Zagradska Chuka (Zagradska Rocky Peak) that is near Tyovnata Dupka (Tyovnata Hole). Slivov took a look in the cave but could see nothing. He entered the cave on the following day and was amazed by the view. There were many bones of human skeletons, most of which were skeletons of children. Up to that moment noone knew anything about this cave in Zabardo. The newly found cave is located 200-300 meters to the east of Tyovnata Dupka Cave, in a more hidden and sheltered place. Young people and small children from the village were hidden in this cave. However, all this children and young people hidden in the Slivova Dupka Cave died after all adults in the Tyovnata Dupka Cave died. All found bones are the proof of all the events here.
Er Kyupriya Cave (Chudnite Mostove - the Wonderful Bridges):
This is a unique natural phenomenon. It represents three natural bridges over the small river, called Aidarsko Dere, which form one of the most spectacular rock phenomena in the Rhodope Mountains. It was first described back in 1896, and later in 1900 the Shkorpil brothers published more information about it. The river forms a short and beautiful gorge.
Gluhite Kamani (The Deaf Stones):
Natural rock formations. There is a comic legend about the way the name Gluhite Kamani (The Deaf Stones) was given. Isein Agovski who was the son of Kara Ibrahim, and Abdulah Agovski, who was the grandson of Kara Ibrahim, once met Tanyu Voivode and decided to joke with him by telling him that if someone speaks from one of the sides of the stones, nothing can be heard from their other side. In the beginning Tanyu did not believe them but the two jokers offer him to try himself. They decided Tanyu to stand from one of the sides of the stones, and Isein and Abdulah to stand from the other side, as the two jokers would shout so that Tanyu could convince himself that nothing could be heard. That was what happened, except for the fact that Isein and Abdulah kept silence during the whole time. Totyu, after trying to hear the shouts of his two acquaintances, went to them and asked them: Are you shouting? We are shouting! answered the two jokers If you want, you shout and we will listen. The voivode agreed, but the same thing happened again. Then he went to the two jokers once again and told them after some time: Do you hear anything? We hear nothing. Are you shouting asked in an affected manner Isein and Abdulah. The old acquaintances separated and Tanyu Voivode stayed for a long time near the stones, amazed at what had happened, and Isein and Abdulah Agovski continued in a good mood on their way to Chepelare mocking at Tayu.
